Backline Requirements
- —4x Pioneer CDJ-3000 (all same model, latest firmware, connected via network hub/switch with 5 LAN/CAT5 cables)
- —1x Pioneer DJM-A9 Mixer (all 4 CDJ-3000 connected via digital audio cables)
- —1x Backup mixer (required for each show)
- —1x Pioneer RMX-1000
- —High power 3-way monitoring system with 2 monitors at head height (left and right of artist), volume controllable from mixer and autonomous
- —2x Wireless microphones (not through DJ mixer, must be on own channel on FOH desk)
- —2x Powerful fans underneath the decks
- —1x Marshall CV508 Camera (or similar - no GoPro/DJI Action cams) placed in DJ booth
- —1x SDI feed from DJ booth to VJ position at FOH
Rider Notes
- —All CDJs must be the same model with latest Pioneer firmware
- —Controllers, laptops, effect units, etc. must be cleared well before stage time
- —Fans are 100% needed
- —Preferred monitor systems (per stack): L'acoustics/D&B: 3x Kara or 2x Arcs + SB18 or SB28; 3x V8/Q1/Y8 + D&B Sub (D80 Amplifiers); Funktion 1: PSM318's
- —Booth monitors must be at least 2.5m (8.2ft) apart
- —Monitors must not be positioned behind or above artist
- —Top speakers of monitor setup should be pointed at artist's ears
- —Monitors must not be distorted, limited or compressed
- —Booth monitor control must be via the DJM mixer
- —Mixer must be placed in centre of solid DJ riser (no smaller than 2.5m x 0.6m, not lower than 1.0m from floor)
- —Yoga or rubber mat must be placed under DJ equipment to prevent movement
- —FOH sound system must produce 100-105 dBA at FOH with no distortion
- —Professional English-speaking FOH engineer required for soundcheck and performance
